Keeping pace with change
The goal of every L&D team is of course to ensure that staff learning and development needs are effectively met, while driving successful change and improvement in line with business objectives.
For L&D professionals, particularly those in large, complex organisations where product lines, service offerings and business units seem to change almost daily, this means a constant battle to keep training materials up-to-date, relevant and engaging.
This is no easy task; these materials are difficult and time consuming to create, hard to update and consequently often obsolete by the time they are delivered.
To develop a culture of learning within an organisation requires great content to keep people coming back. If the content doesn't add value, if it doesn't speak to the audience or they can't find what they want, they will naturally drift away.
Unfortunately it's a battle that many seem to be losing.
